Are you interested in how trauma sensitive mindfulness practices, yoga and meditation support individuals in recovery from substance use and mental health disorders?

Are you interested in trauma and how unresolved trauma impacts the mind body connection?

Are you interested in how trauma impacts the brain and the central nervous system?

Transformation Yoga Project is offering a special training for yoga teachers, social workers, behavioral health providers and committed yoga practitioners interested in working with people who have been impacted by trauma and addiction.

Join the Transformation Yoga Project team for this specialized training led by Colleen DeVirgiliis, Director of Training and Nicole Breen, Director of Recovery and Behavioral Health, both with the Transformation Yoga Project. This training will include interactive lecture, group dialogue, experiential instruction and practice instruction based on research, evidence based practices and experience working in the field.

The 2 day group training will reflect on their experiences leading Yoga and Mindfulness classes in drug and alcohol rehabilitation facilities and various mental health treatment settings. Several guest instructors from the Transformation Yoga Project team will share experiences and insights gained from teaching trauma sensitive yoga for recovery.

For the first time, Transformation Yoga Project will be offering their Yoga for Recovery training on site of one of their Trauma Sensitive Yoga for Recovery Program partners.
